Our Mission: Train the next generation of musicians to see music as a beautiful tool to show forth the glory of God in this world and sharpen their skills so that they might be better able to minister in their local churches

God’s Word says in 1 Chronicles 25:1, “Moreover, David and the commanders of the army set apart for the service some . . . who were to prophesy with lyres, harps and cymbals.” In this verse, those that played musical instruments literally prophesied with their music. Our goal at Sforzando is to train musicians to their full potential so they can use their musical abilities to edify the church.

The word “Sforzando” is a musical term that means “sudden or marked emphasis.” The camp is named Sforzando because it provides one week of intense training that emphasizes campers’ musical and spiritual development. We all know that the consistent, daily grind of practicing is essential for developing skilled musicians, but a week of sudden emphasis with likeminded young musicians and godly, mentoring faculty can provide a year’s worth of encouragement and motivation.
